Two dead in Mpigi car crash along Kampala-Masaka Highway

The accident occurred at around 7:30 am this morning involving two moto vehicles; a commuter taxi also Hiace UBL 045K and Alphard car whose registration number remained unknown by press time.

MPIGI, UGANDA: Two people have died on the spot and three others nursing critical wounds after two vehicles crashed in a head-on collision along the Kampala-Masaka highway this morning.

The accident that occurred at around 7:30 am involved two motor vehicles; a commuter taxi also Hiace UBL 045K and Alphard car that crashed at Kamengo in Mpigi district along the busy highway.

According to eyewitnesses, the nasty collision is attributed to reckless driving as both cars were driving at high speed at the time of the crash.

Police retrieved the bodies and conveyed them to Gombe Hospital as an investigation into establishing the cause of the accident continues.
