Man strangles girlfriend to death, calls her parents to pick body for burial

The Territorial Police in Mukono District are actively hunting for one Wabembasha Enock, a 25-year-old male adult for strangling his girlfriend to death after developing a misunderstanding.

MUKONO, UGANDA: The Territorial Police in Mukono District are actively hunting for one Wabembasha Enock, a 25-year-old male adult for strangling his girlfriend to death after developing a misunderstanding.

Wabembasha, a resident of Nabutu Zone, Seeta ward, Goma Division is said to have murdered his lover identified as Namboozo Fatuma, aged 28, resident of Bulijo village, Kyampisi parish, Nagalama Sub-County in Mukono District on the night of Saturday, July 1, 2023.

According to police spokesperson Fred Enanga, it is alleged that the victim had visited the boyfriend that evening before a quarrel ensued between them.

It is from the quarrel that Wabembasha allegedly turned his hands on Namboozo and strangled her which led to her death. Her body was found in the rented room, early morning.

Barevle, Enanga says “The suspect after the murder called the parents of the deceased with the victim’s phone and told them to pick up the dead body of their daughter for burial. And that he didn’t regret having killed her.”
