OYAM, UGANDA: Omoro County Member of Parliament Hon Andrew Ojok Oulanyah has refuted reports he labelled as fake that he has gone blind saying he has not lost any of his sights at all.

Ojok, the son of former speaker of parliament (RIP) Jacob Oulanyah said the false political propaganda is being spread by some opposition politicians in Northern Uganda, especially in Oyam district.

He asked the people not to believe in such because he is very healthy and fit without any single complication in his eyes.

“l want to confirm to you people gathered here that my eyes are working well,” MP Ojok said on Monday as he campaigned for the NRM flag bearer in the Oyam North by-election Mr Samuel Engola Junior Okello from Ngai trading centre, Apuca parish in Oyam district.

Ojok further rallied the people of Oyam to vote for the NRM flag bearer because the government will work with an MP who supports them, and not an opposition.

“I pray that you people vote for Engola Junior Samuel so that we are able to work together to make sure the road from here to Oyam and Bobi is worked on,” Ojok said.

He said when his father Jacob Oulanyah, the former speaker died, the people of Omoro voted for him overwhelmingly to replace him and he was the NRM flag bearer just like his friend Junior Okello Samuel Engola.
