Pakwach Salon Saccos tipped on savings strategies

The Pakwach Resident District Commissioner Mr Eseru Paul has tipped members of Jonam County Salon Operators Sacco on how to make savings for the great good of their savings cooperative.

PAKWACH, UGANDA: The Pakwach Resident District Commissioner Mr Eseru Paul has tipped members of Jonam County Salon Operators Sacco on how to make savings for the great good of their savings cooperative.

The RDC made these remarks at the Annual General Meeting of the Sacco that took place on Friday, July 14, at their offices in Pacego, Panyango Sub County in Pakwach district.

According to Mr Eseru, Salon Sacco members made a profit of over 5 million shillings in 2022 compared to shs 1.5 million profit that was realised in 2021.

He told members who attended the meeting that the government had budgeted for 100 billion shillings in this financial year that will be channelled to the various Saccos countrywide for enhancing the money economy.

Mr Eseru congratulated the over 30 members of the Sacco and told them to address the issues of weekly savings in order to grow and boost loan recovery so that they benefit from the additional seed capital.

The RDC promised members that he will visit all the associations in order to identify the possible challenges that the associations are facing at the moment and as well he will immediately address them.

Eseru Paul also promised to Scale up the Performance of Emyooga in Pakwach District and West nile as a whole in general.

The chairperson of the Sacco Mr Opar urged all members to adhere to the Weekly Savings program and always attend meetings whether called upon so that all gaps are addressed accordingly for the betterment of the group.

A woman only identified as Sarah applauded the RDC for supporting them and being in person to witness the growth in their Sacco and congratulated H.E the President for the support they have realised in their group Sacco.
