Museveni receives special message from DR Congo’s Tshisekedi

ENTEBBE, UGANDA: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Wednesday received a special message from the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), H.E Felix Tshisekedi.

“I received a message from H.E Felix Tshisekedi, which was delivered by his envoy and adviser, Mr. Tony Kanku Shiku and accompanied by Hon Mbusa Nyamwisi, the State Minister Foreign Affairs. We discussed matters of mutual interest. I welcome them,” H.E Museveni tweeted on Wednesday after the meeting.

The Special message was delivered by President Tshisekedi’s envoy led by the State Minister for Regional Integration in DRC, Mbusa Nyamwisi and the Special Advisor to President Tshisekedi, Tony Kanku Shiku.

The President who held mutual discussions with the delegation thanked his DRC counterpart for his endless efforts in fighting terrorism and ensuring peace in the Great Lakes Region.

The officials from DR Congo were accompanied by Uganda’s Envoy to Kinshasha, Amb. Farid Kaliisa among other DRC senior government officials.
