KIRYANDONGO, UGANDA: Kiryandongo District local government has commissioned capital projects worth shs6.43 billion implemented during the Fiscal year 2022/2023.

The projects commissioned across the District included classroom blocks, general wards, maternity wards, doctor’s houses, boreholes, small-scale irrigation schemes and first-class marram roads.

While commissioning a staff house at Panyadoli Hills Health Centre III, Ms Edith Aliguma Adyeri, the Kiryandongo District Chairperson urged the health workers to desist from absenteeism and offer timely services since accommodation was within the facility.

She added that it was a deliberate effort by the District leadership to improve the health facility infrastructure at Panyadoli HCIV, Panyadoli Hills HC III and Masindi Port HC III given the number of patients they handle.
