Mukono, (UG): The Senior Coordinator in the office of The NRM National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Uzeiye Hadijjah Namyalo has assured the people of Mukono District that President Yoweri Museveni is preparing something big for them as far as economic empowerment is concerned
Hajjati Namyalo, who also doubles as the Special Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs says H. E Museveni is crafting a development plan for all his Bazzukulu in the country, and therefore Mukono residents have to be ready for the great projects hatching anytime soon.
She revealed the good news on Friday, August 11, while officiating at the Cultural Day and Quran Reading Competitions at Mukono Town Muslim Primary School, where students demonstrated their skills in reading the Holy Book Quran and other Islamic teachings.
According to Ms Namyalo, what Mr Museveni is doing now is to ensure that all citizens especially, women and youths are able to do something and develop themselves through the Government development programs such as PDM, Emyooga etc.
She added that in collaboration with the ONC coordinators, the office will carry soon out developmental activities for the Mukono people.
“Where we have travelled we have distributed many items including hybrid goats, sewing machines, Chicken, Haircutters and Dryers to youths and women, indeed we have tried to change their economic situation, and we will come and do something here too,” Namyalo said.
The Headteacher Mr Haruna Kalyango together with the Head of the School Management Committee, Mr Muhammad Wasswa told Hajjat Namyalo that the school faces the challenge of inadequate buildings and requested the President through the Education Ministry to intervene and give a hand on the stalled buildings.
In her response, Namyalo advised the school management to write again to the line Minister of Education and Sports and she promised to make a follow-up with the President once it reaches the Ministry.
The Resident District Commissioner for Mukono District, Hajjati Fatuma Ndisaba in her remarks urged the students to study hard so that they become responsible people in the future.
Sheik Abbas Senkuba, the District Khadi in charge of Mukono, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of a vehicle for his office, saying that President Museveni promised it five years ago and requested Namyalo to make a follow-up.
The Mukono District NRM Chairman Haji Twahir Sebaggala called up all Mukono residents to appear in big numbers at Kololo independence grounds on the 8th of September 2023 to celebrate with H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on his 79th Birthday.
The Kololo birthday fete has been organized by the Bazzukulu ba M7 in conjunction with the Office of the National Chairman and is free and open to all citizens.
