BungaBet’s Sponsored Bwizibwera United FC clinches 3rd Division Football

Stakeholders and the management of Mbarara-based Bwizibwera United Football Club have hailed the partnership with BungaBet whose sponsorship has enabled the club to qualify for the third Division Of Uganda’s football league system.

BungaBet, a Ugandan sports betting company is single-handedly sponsoring the team which has risen from rugs to grace and is now destined for the long journey to reach the top tier of the country’s football league, the Uganda Premier League.

Information availed to this website indicated that starting the new season, the club will be hosting matches from Bwizibwera playground and will be the only team representing Mbarara District in Uganda’s third-division football league.

The CEO of Bunga Bet Mr Prosper Tuhaise speaking of the achievement of Bwizibwera United FC reiterated his commitment to lifting Uganda’s sports and vowed that his company will continue injecting millions into this team to make sure that it gets into the National League.

“The only thing I can pay back to Ugandans who have supported Bunga Bet since its establishment is to pay back through sponsoring some of our local teams. Today we are sponsoring Bwizibwera tomorrow we can sponsor the national team,” Mr Tuhaise said.

“On the success of Bwizibwera as a team, I want to tell our fans that we are committed to lifting this team and taking it to greater heights. So far we have signed 15 new players to boost our chances of getting into the national league and am sure we shall reach there,” added Tuhaise.

The club’s stakeholders including fans who also spoke to this website were full of praise for Bunga Bet saying that without the company’s unwavering support, the team wouldn’t be registering such mega victories.

“The sponsor we have loves and understands football. We have since become Western Uganda’s powerful team because of Bunga Bet therefore, I want to wholeheartedly thank Mr Prosper and the entire Bunga Bet family for supporting our Bwizibwera,” noted a jubilant fan.

Bunga Bet opened its doors for business in 2017 and is the first indigenous betting company in a flooded industry dominated by foreign companies but of course, being a tactical entrepreneur, Tuhaise has been able to keep afloat.

On top of the common betting on football matches, Bunga Bet also offers a platform for online betting, virtual betting as well as slot machines.

At the moment, Bunga Bet employs over 500 people with over 50 outlets throughout the country.
