London, (UK): The Birmingham-Uganda Investment Convention, an event of the Ugandan community partnership between Ugandans in the United Kingdom and those back home took place this week with the main focus on unlocking potential investment opportunities between the two countries.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, the Deputy High Commissioner to London, UK, Ambassador John Mugerwa, implored potential investors to take advantage of the conducive ambience, and vast investment opportunities in Uganda, especially in areas of agriculture, health and social care and real estate, among others.
The Birmingham Uganda Investment Convention aimed at bringing together Ugandans/British living in the diaspora and investment partners in both Birmingham, (and all other parts of the UK) United Kingdom, and Uganda, whilst ensuring the creation of an avenue for finding the market, knowledge, skills and new investment opportunities for the two countries.
On the sidelines of the Birmingham-Uganda Investment Convention, the Uganda High Commission in London, offered consular services, including passport renewal, national ID registration, and document attestation, to the Ugandan community in the West Midlands.
Furthermore, outreach services will this weekend continue at West Ham Memorial Grounds, Memorial Avenue, London, E15 3DB.
