Rwampara, (UG): A Ministry of Health campaign to distribute mosquito nets is currently ongoing in Nyeihanga Town Council, Rwampara district as residents receive the treated mosquito repellent nets.
Reports from the western district indicate there has been massive turnout of residents who were first sensitized on how to properly us the nets.
It’s part of a campaign to end malaria.
In addition to Rwampara, this distribution phase will also include the districts of; Bukwo, Bulambuli, Buyende, Ibanda, Iganga, Jinja City, Jinja, Kamuli, Kamwenge, Kapchorwa, Kazo, Kyegegwa, Luuka, Mbarara, Mbarara City, Namayingo and Ntungamo.
The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr Diana Atwine, on Sunday tweeted, urging residents in the districts who have not receive notices, to follow up with their local authorities for help to receive their treated mosquito nets.




Meanwhile, the Ministry has instituted a toll free line for any inquiries, (0800100066) for urgent feedback from the public.
