Kampala, (UG): KCCA FC Head Coach, Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil says he has an inverted plan to turn the club’s recent mischance into gratifying results.

“We just have to turn the tables and bring our quality up, go to the game, bring the responsibility to ourselves and behave like the club we are – KCCA,” Traguil said after the Sunday’s fixture against rivals Express FC.

“So we need to be more objective and more intelligent. I understand some players are feeling some pressure, but we can’t feel any pressure because we’re in football,” he added.

The  13-time Ugandan league champions suffered a third straight league defeat as they lost 2-1 to Express FC at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo on Sunday leaving them in the bottom three and with zero points.

But Traguil believes he is still the right man for the KCCA job despite guiding the Kasasiro to their worst start in league history.

“The day I wake up and I feel cant do anything to turn things around, I will be honest enough to leave,” said Traguil, before adding; “Whoever believes am not right for the job is wrong in my opinion but they have a right to their opinion and can do whatever they want.”

The Portuguese manager says “it’s time to do something for the fans and the things that happened against Maroons, it can’t happen again,” he added.

The 42-year-old tactician however admits that fans are right to be angry with results. “Even if it was me, would be angry but we have the ability to turn things around.”

On why his teams continues to suffer defeats, Traguil blamed his team’s way of defending saying; “Our defending is very poor and we make so many mistakes. Its an area we must improve if we are to turn tables.”

The Portuguese excited fans with ridiculous football during pre-season but he has only picked two victories in six competitive matches, including a CAF Confederation Cup exit at the hands of Abu Salim.

KCCA’s next fixture is a tough trip away to table leaders Kitara FC which comes on Friday, October 20, after the current international break.
