In a highly anticipated Manchester derby, Manchester City emerged as clear winners at Old Trafford with a convincing 0-3 victory over their arch-rivals Manchester United.
City striker Erling Haaland stole the show yet again against their neighbours, scoring two goals and providing another in a very one-sided Premier League fixture on Sunday evening.
The Norwegian international opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a penalty before adding a second with a header in the 49th minute.
Haaland was also involved in the third goal when he set up Foden to complete the rout in the 80th minute.
Speaking on his first goal, Haaland said; “A lot of Man United fans were singing to me, ‘Keano”, “I scored and it was a fantastic feeling. It was a nice celebration, yes!”, he told SkySports.
United struggled to create any clear-cut chances while City dominated possession and shots.
The defeat leaves United with just five wins in their opening 10 Premier League games, and fans are starting to question the tactics and management of Erik ten Hag.
Meanwhile, City’s win continues their impressive start to the season, with Haaland proving to be a crucial player in their quest to retain the Premier League title.
