Gaddafi Wahab’s early strike for Arua Hill SC was swiftly answered by Filbert Obenchan’s equalizer for KCCA FC in a match that showcased determination and resilience from both sides.

KCCA FC, however, were not to be outdone. As the first half drew to a close, Filbert Obenchan exhibited his prowess, finding the back of the net in injury time to level the scoreline at 1-1. The match was finely poised, setting the stage for a thrilling second half.

Ibrahim Musa of KCCA FC came agonizingly close to putting his team ahead, striking the post with a powerful shot. The woodwork denied them the opportunity to seize the lead.

Richard Anyama, the custodian of Arua Hill SC, was instrumental in keeping KCCA FC at bay, making a crucial save to deny them a second goal. His efforts ensured that the game remained finely balanced.

Both teams exhibited tremendous fighting spirit, exemplified by the captains, Joseph Akandwanaho, and Filbert Obenchan who led their respective sides with unwavering determination.

Meanwhile, in other UPL fixtures of the day, defending champions Vipers SC hosted neighbours Wakiso Giants FC at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

With the team yet to taste defeat this season thanks to three victories and two draws in the first five games, the Vemons kept the momentum as they trashed the visitors three goals to zero with Karim Watambala scoring a brace and Yunus Sentamu scoring one goal.

Mbarara City and Bright Stars played out a 1-1 draw, while BUL FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory against URA FC.

These results further underscored the competitive nature of the league this season.

As the dust settles on this highly anticipated encounter, both Arua Hill SC and KCCA FC can take solace in securing their first points of the campaign.

In the UPL fixtures today (Wednesday), Kitara FC will hope to continue their fine home run when they host Maroons FC in Masindi, while Busoga United take on UPDF and NEC fc will play Gaddafi Fc, all matches at 4 pm (EAT).
