Kampala, (UG): Kampala Parents’ School has today (Friday) dedicated a total of 214 Primary Seven Candidates to God ahead of next week’s Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) which begin on Wednesday, November 08, 2023.
Rooted on the pillars of life; spirituality, morality, physically fitness, among other things, the school held the prayers for the candidates at the school premises in Naguru, Kampala, with a section of parents and we’ll wishers joining the pupils in the session.
The colourful event was spearheaded by Kampala Archbishop, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere presided over the prayers and Imam Idi Kasozi representing the Muslim sect as they anointed and dedicated the pupils to God in prayers to enable them excel in their examinations.
KPS Principal, Ms Daphne Kato in her remarks to the ripe candidates empowered them to stay focused and avoid any kind of panic if they’re to lift the school flag high and excel for their most bright future which awaits.
“As you wind up your seven years of primary school, I want to give you the assurance that Kampala Parents’ School family is with you in all ways . Do not panic even as you do final touches of revision,” Mrs Kato noted.
“This is the time that the Lord has chosen for you to prove to your parents, relatives, and teachers that you have been prepared well enough by all the concerned people. Your future starts today, set that strong foundation and keep the candle burning, even at higher levels of your education,” she added.
Mrs Kato also extended sincere gratitude to the Chairman of the Board of the school, Dr Sudhir Ruparelia, whose unwavering support she said is evident in the success of the school in the PLE exams, over the years.
“I would also like to render my unmatched sincere appreciation to the Chairman, together with the school management and all the stakeholders for their tireless contributions for what you (the candidates) are today,” she remarked.
The Founder and Chairman of Kampala Parents’ School Board, Dr Sudhir Ruparelia lauded the 2023 P.7 candidates for their relentless effort in ensuring that they reach this far and urged them to go for it (the success) in the PLE exams.
“Our dead candidates of 2023, I sincerely applaud you for the hard work, resilience, and selflessness you have exhibited since the year began. It must have been a difficult journey to trek, but trust me, it is the reason you’ll succeed because rough aters produce experienced sailors, ” Dr Sudhir remarked.
He added; “Success comes to those that seek him, you have this, and God will do the rest,” as he wished the candidates the best success they deserve in the 2023 PLE Exams.
Kampala Parents’ School, located in Naguru (an urban suburb) along Saddler Way, is one of the top performing schools in PLE and this year, with a total of 214 pupils readying to sit for next week’s national exams.
According to UNEB statistics, a total of 749,347 candidates were registered for the PLE Exams this year and are expected to sit for their finals in the 14,442 examination centres across the country.
The briefing of Primary Seven candidates will be conducted on Tuesday, November 06, 2023, and the exams will be done between Wednesday 07th and Tuesday 08th.
