Kampala, (UG): Uganda Premier League side; Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA FC) has unveiled tatician gaffer Abdallah Mubiru as the club’s new head coach on a two-year contract.
Mubiru who comes in as a direct replacement for recently sacked Portuguese coach Sergio Daniel Traguil was formally introduced to the public by the Club Patron and Kampala Lord Mayor; Ssalongo Erias Lukwago on Monday morning.
Having previously served as the head coach for KCCA FC in 2014, Mubiru returns to the team with a wealth of experience. He is a former player for the club, having featured for KCCA FC in the 90s.
Additionally, Mubiru has successfully coached various teams including Police FC, Proline FC, Vipers SC, Mbeya City FC, and the Uganda Cranes.
Mubiru’s immediate responsibility, along with his technical team, will be to steer KCCA FC’s season back on track.
The team has experienced a slight dip in performance recently and is eager for a turnaround. Mubiru’s extensive knowledge of the team, coupled with his coaching experience, is expected to bring a fresh perspective and revitalize KCCA FC’s gameplay.
The announcement of Mubiru’s appointment has been well-received by fans and supporters of KCCA FC.
Many have expressed optimism about his leadership and believe that he possesses the necessary skills to guide the team through a successful season.
The full technical support team for KCCA FC is set to be announced in the near future, complementing Mubiru’s coaching expertise with additional resources.
