Kampala, (UG): Uganda’s most celebrated music awards; the HiPipo Music Awards (HMAs) are back yet again with this year’s edition happening on Friday, November 17th at Kampala Serena Hotel in the city centre.
The awards which mark a 12th edition since inception will see different artists in the country and beyond take home awards under the thirteen categories that spotlight a vast expanse of their talents on the dynamic Ugandan musical landscape and across the East African horizons.
According to Mr Innocent Kawooya, the CEO and founder of the HiPipo Music Awards, the Friday event is set to be graced by live performances from the Afrigo Band, Eddy Kenzo, Alien Skin, Karungi, Nina Roz, Jahlead Music, among others.
In the 2023 HMAs, reigning Artiste of the Year; Eddy Kenzo is battling it out with sensational musician Alien Skin, David Lutalo, rapper Fik Fameica, Sheebah and Vinka as he looks to retain the accolade for yet another year running.
