Botes names Crested Cranes’ travelling squad for Morocco friendlies

Kampala, (UG): Crested Cranes Head Coach Sheryl Ulanda Botes has finalized the squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Morocco.

The team, after intensive training at MTN-Omondi Stadium, is geared up for two challenging matches in Casablanca and Rabat on December 1st and December 5th, 2023, respectively.

A total of 22 players, selected from both local and foreign-based talent, will represent Uganda on the international stage.

The squad includes standout goalkeepers, formidable defenders, skilled midfielders, and dynamic forwards, showcasing the team’s depth and versatility.

The departure is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 5:30 PM, with foreign-based players joining the squad from their respective clubs.

FUFA Executive Committee Member Richard Ochom will accompany the team as the Leader of the Delegation.

The coaching staff, led by Head Coach Sheryl Ulanda Botes, includes Assistant Coach Charles Ayiekoh Lukula, Goalkeeping Coaches David Ribeiro and George Ssebuliba, and other essential personnel such as Sports Scientists, Team Doctor, Physiotherapist, Video Analyst, and Media Officer.

With an experienced and dedicated squad along with a strong support staff, the Crested Cranes aim to make a mark in Morocco, representing Uganda with pride and determination on the international football stage.
