Kampala, (UG): The Office of the NRM National Chairman headed by SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye has launched its newspaper to popularize the various government programs to the citizens of Uganda.

Dubbed the ‘Bazzukulu’, which means grandchildren, the first and inaugural edition of the newspaper was unveiled by Hajjat Namyalo in her appearance at Baba Television on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

At the launch, Namyalo who prefers to be called Chief Muzzukulu revealed that they (ONC) decided to come up with their publication to reduce the costs the office has been incurring on various media outlets in the popularization of government achievements and programs.

She pledged to give the Bazzukulu items and capital tools to eradicate poverty among all people, and that the newspaper will employ several of them as reporters, editors, and other departments.

Through this innovative publication, Hajjat Namyalo said she will offer a conduit for young voices to express their opinions, showcase their talents, and address pertinent issues affecting their communities to the fulfilment of the manifesto of the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

“With a blend of insightful articles, thought-provoking editorials, and diverse content, the Bazzukulu newspaper aspires to serve as a platform for dialogue, inspiration, and empowerment, encouraging proactive involvement and civic participation among the youth demographic and all our activities as ONC, she said.

“We have been spending a lot of money on mainstream publications but now we have our paper, this will reduce on amount we have been spending. This paper is set to be the centre of developmental ideas from the Bazukulu all over the Nation.”

Namyalo called upon all the youth country wide to avoid being used by politicians in dubious activities with the intent of getting money, adding that “with life everything is possible but if you lose your life in chaotic activities it will be a loss to you and your family.”

“I caution the younger generation to resist being used. Life is incredibly precious, and no amount of money can purchase it. Therefore, do not be swayed by the meagre funds politicians offer you to exploit your influence. As we enter a political season, it’s crucial to remain extremely vigilant. Numerous self-serving politicians will attempt to manipulate you. I can assure you they will exploit your efforts and discard you thereafter,” she emphasized.

The 23-page Bazzukulu Newspaper with the slogan ‘Know your past, present and Future’ hit the market on Wednesday 29th November 2023 and is sold at only Two thousand Uganda shillings.

Sources based at ONC told DailyExpress that the Bazzukulu newspaper will be a monthly edition, issued at the end of the month, with a compilation of various activities carried out by the office, the Presidency and other government programs in the country.
