Kampala, (UG): KCCA FC secured their second win of the season overpowering Gaddafi FC with a resounding 6-1 victory on match day nine of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The Kasasiro Boys showcased their prowess with a spectacular performance that included braces from Usama Arafat and Muhammad Shaban, alongside goals from Dominic Ayella and Etienne Katenge.

The game’s momentum was set in motion when Katenge broke the deadlock in the 18th minute with a brilliant solo effort down the left, slotting the ball into the top right corner.

Shaban doubled the lead five minutes later, connecting with a powerful header from a superb Mustafa Kizza cross.

Shaban continued his scoring spree, completing his brace in the 25th minute with a calm finish off a perfectly weighted pass from Carlos Da Cungulo.

Arafat added his name to the scoresheet with a first-time shot, and later, he sealed the first-half dominance with a deflected bicycle kick set up by Katenge.

Gaddafi FC, however, displayed moments of brilliance, with Sharifu Ssengendo scoring a beauty to pull one back.

Despite the visitor’s effort, Dominic Ayella restored KCCA’s 5-goal lead.

As the final whistle blew, KCCA FC celebrated their commanding 6-1 victory, but the triumph was bittersweet as they find themselves stuck in the relegation zone, sitting 14th on the 16-team log with seven points in nine matches.

Looking ahead, the Kasasiro boys are set to face Mbarara City FC at the Kakyeka Stadium on December 6, hoping to carry the momentum into their subsequent fixture.

Meanwhile, Gaddafi FC, currently in 10th place with 10 points, host UPDF FC in Jinja a day later in a bid to climb up the league standings.
