As the 19th edition of the Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS) Games 2023 unfolds at Uganda Christian University (UCU) in Mukono, matchday two of the football competitions showcased intense clashes, surprising results, and moments of sheer brilliance on the pitch.

In the opening match of the day, hosts UCU demonstrated their prowess by securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Nkumba, setting the tone for a day filled with thrilling encounters.

MUBS continued the excitement with a goal-packed spectacle, triumphing 4-2 over Uganda Martyrs in a high-scoring affair that left spectators in awe.

The battle between Bugema University and Kampala University resulted in a stalemate, as both teams struggled to break the deadlock, concluding the match with a 0-0 draw.

Kampala University faced a similar fate in their subsequent game against MUST, with another goalless draw leaving fans puzzled by the evenly matched teams.

Bugema University, however, seized the opportunity to shine, securing a convincing 2-0 win against Soroti and showcasing their strategic prowess on the field.

Makerere and Busiteema University engaged in a fierce competition that ended in a 1-1 draw, adding another layer of excitement to the day’s events.
