Kampala, (UG): Prominent Ugandan Pastor of House of Prayer Ministries International, Pr Aloysius Bugingo is currently admitted at Mulago Hospital after the car in which he was travelling was shot at by unknown gunmen on Tuesday night.
Reports coming in indicate that Bugingo, the founder and lead pastor at House of Prayer Ministries International and Salt Media was attacked by assailants who sprayed bullets on his car near Total Petrol Station in Namungoona, Lubaga Division as he headed home with his driver.
Unconfirmed reports say the driver was killed on the spot while the pastor was rushed to Mulago Hospital in critical condition.
The motive of the shooting remains unknown as security forces open investigations into the fatal incident.
The renowned businessman owns a string of businesses alongside his church at Canaan Land some of which include Salt Media Group of Companies, which owns both Salt FM and Salt TV among others.
