Kampala, (UG): Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and Makerere University FC battled to a 2-2 draw, with Makerere staging a remarkable comeback from two goals down in the final seven minutes.
The first half saw a goalless deadlock until the 35th minute when Yudaya Nakayenze of Kawempe Muslim broke through, putting her team in the lead.
The halftime score stood at 1-0 in favour of Kawempe Muslim.
The second half continued with Nakayenze extending her scoring prowess, netting her second goal in the 47th minute, giving Kawempe Muslim a seemingly comfortable 2-0 lead.
However, Makerere University had other plans. In the 83rd minute, Sharon Namatovu found the back of the net, narrowing the gap to 2-1.
The tension escalated in the 89th minute when Daphine Nalubowa scored a dramatic equalizer from a free kick, levelling the score at 2-2.
In the end, the match concluded with both teams earning a hard-fought point each, leaving fans on the edge of their seats as the points were shared in a game filled with late-game heroics and unexpected twists.
