RDC Paul Eseru voted Pakwach’s best leader in 2023

Pakwach, (UG): A group of 850 activists under their umbrella “Pakwach Mwa Forum”, a Whatsapp platform for advocacy for better governance and service delivery in Pakwach District have voted Paul ESERU as the best leader in the West Nile District for the year 2023, DailyExpress understands.

The recognition is the first of its kind in Pakwach District and aimed at applauding and energizing political leaders for their outstanding contributions that culminated in tremendous development due to his servant leadership and unique characteristics of patriotism.

This publication learnt that several political leaders in the appointed positions of CAO, DPC, DISO, RDC, LC3, LC5 and the area Mps in Pakwach District were subjected to this appraisal conducted by 1025 members of the platform using measurable parameters, especially on community-based approaches.

According to Mr Moses Wacal, the Pakwach Mwa Whatsapp group Admin who interacted with DailyExpress on Wednesday iterated their commitment to appraise the leaders saying; “this is something that is going to be done yearly as we push forward to see how service delivery can improve in our community and this is a testament that whatever the leaders do we as community members are watching, recording and analysing it.”

To the reckoning of the members of the Pakwach Mwa Forum, Mr. Paul Eseru, the man from the east deserved more than just an accolade of recognition from the community members of Pakwach District given his unique and spirited efforts to monitor coordinate and execute government programs.

Mr Moses Ocama, an activist on the forum noted some of the outstanding interventions made by Mr Paul, among which include the intervention Wadelai Irrigation Scheme which was nearing its downfall due to poor workmanship.

“We have seen tremendous changes that were results of his interventions such as in Wadelai irrigation scheme when we blew the whistle on poor workmanship his intervention resulted into termination of the construction contract and above all he streamlined the recovery of emyooga funds,” Ocama said in an interview.

The Pakwach Mwa Forum was established to foster unity among community members and leaders across the Pakwach district.
