VIDEO: Miss Uganda Karema shoots film showcasing Uganda’s beauty for Miss World contest

Reigning Miss Uganda, Hannah Tumukunde Karema last week embarked on a journey to western Uganda for the shooting of her ‘Country of Origin’ film which she will use to showcase Uganda’s breathtaking beauty at the upcoming Miss World Grand Finale.

Miss World 2023 will be the 71st edition of the Miss World pageant, to be held at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, New Delhi, India on 9th March, 2024. The winner of Miss World 2023 will crown her successor at the end of the event

Excited to announce that the journey to @MissWorldLtd has officially kicked off, it is such a great honour to represent my beautiful country on an international stage and all I can say is that I’m humbled. Let’s pray and hope for the best,” Miss Uganda Karema posted via X (formerly known as Twitter).

The video shoot was done in partnership with Emburara Safaris, Emburara Farm Lodge, Chimpundu Lodge, Uganda Wildlife Authority, Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Hon. Martin Mugarra Bahinduka with the overall organizer being Isaiah Jobs Rwanyekiro CEO Breathtaking Uganda.

About Miss World

Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley’s widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant.

Along with Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth, Miss World is one of the Big Four international beauty pageants.

The current Miss World is Karolina Bielawska of Poland who was crowned on 16 March 2022 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
