UNEB to release 2023 UCE Results on Thursday

Kampala, (UG): The Uganda National Examination Board – UNEB will this week on Thursday, February, 15, release the results of the 2023 UCE (Uganda Certificate of Education) Examinations, DailyExpress understands.

According to a source familiar with the UNEB calendar activities speaking on condition of anonymity (as they’re not authorised to speak on behalf of the board), the 2023 UCE results will be released tomorrow, Thursday at 11 am, at State House, Nakasero.

The source adds that on Wednesday this week, UNEB officials will brief the Education Minister and First Lady Hon Janet Kataha Museveni on the performance of the students as a custom before the results are released.

UNEB on Wednesday posted a teaser ahead of the official announcement concerning the release of the S.4 Results saying “UCE Results 2023 coming soon.”

The 2023 UCE Results will be the second batch of the national examinations to be released by UNEB after the PLE Results which were released last month.

A total of 364,421 candidates registered to sit for the UCE 2023 examinations, marking a 4.3% increase compared to the previous year. The delay in releasing the results was attributed to Uneb’s engagements in other tasks, such as stakeholder engagements on competence-based assessment under the new lower secondary curriculum.

At the time the results are released, parents, candidates, and other interested parties will be able to check how their pupils/children performed by using their phones through SMS or via the UNEB Portal.
