Luuka, (UG):-The Police in Luuka District are holding a 26-year-old Namugere Sylvia, a second wife of one Namuvunaikye Amos on allegations of murdering her husband for having extramarital affairs outside their marriage.
The incident, confirmed by Police spokesperson Fred Enanga, indicates that the couple picked a quarrel where the second wife complained that the husband had an affair outside of the two wives that he had.
The fight ensued which forced them out of the house and the man tried to run away while the wife chased him to a distance of about 100 kilo metres and continued to assault him.
The man became unconscious and was rushed to the nearby clinic of Mr Kitimbo who later referred him to Iganga Hospital and the victim was pronounced dead on arrival.
Mr Enanga said Namugere who faces murder charges is currently in police custody pending investigations where she will be arraigned before the courts of law.
