Museveni receives credentials from Venezuela Ambassador

Entebbe, (UG):- H.E. Fátima Fernandes, the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Uganda, Monday presented her credentials to His Excellency Yoweri Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda in a ceremonial event held at State House Entebbe.

The landmark event also marked the official commencement of Ambassador Fernandes’ diplomatic mission in Uganda and aimed at fortifying the diplomatic ties between the two nations for the mutual benefit of the people of Venezuela and Uganda.

During the credential presentation, Ambassador Fernandes conveyed warm regards from the Venezuelan government and expressed her commitment to enhancing the diplomatic relationship between the two countries.

She emphasized the importance of fostering stronger ties that would contribute to economic, cultural, and political collaboration.

President Museveni welcomed Ambassador Fernandes and conveyed his appreciation for Venezuela’s decision to establish its first-ever diplomatic mission in Uganda. He highlighted the potential for expanded cooperation in various fields, including trade, agriculture, and technology.

The President expressed optimism about the positive impact this diplomatic initiative could have on the socio-economic development of both nations.
