Museveni is going nowhere, Chief Whip Hamson Obua roars


Nebbi, (UG): The government chief whip Hon. Obua Hamson who doubles as MP Ajuri County, Alebtong district has today clearly came out to say the President will appear on the ballot in 2026.

The former Minister of State for Sports said this today, Saturday, March 09, while officiating as a chief guest at the belated NRM liberation day held in Nyaravur-Angal town Council in pamora village, Nebbi district.

The eloquent young and productive NRM Cadre of the revolutionary also told the gathering that NRM government has scored highly in decentralising service delivery to village level.

He further said the parish development model which is termed as “vehicle” for poverty is progressing well and, he urged the community of Nebbi to register as beneficiaries in order to earn a meaningful living from it.

Mr Obua said in this financial year, Nebbi district received 6.9 billion for PDM alone and that, it clearly shows government stand to eradicate poverty as part of vision 2040.

He added that in this financial year, Shs 2 billion was a located for road mantainance with 500 million already submitted to the district account and that it’s called road mantainance grant.

Obua later baptized two strong opposition members; Irene Bithola who is eying Nebbi Woman MP seat and Otuba George aspiring candidate for Nebbi district chairperson LC5 seat.

In attendance were MPs of Nebbi district, LCV, RDC , NRM chairman, ONC, coordinators, NRM sub county chairpersons, business community and security team among others.
