WATCH: Pastor Bugingo demands followers to raise shs100m within two days for Easter crusade

Kampala, (UG):- Controversial city pastor, Aloysius Bugingo of House of Prayer Ministries International is again at the centre of criticism following a viral video in which he asked his followers to collect an amount between Shs70m to Shs100m.

This publication has learnt that the amount is not for finishing or for the doors and windows of the ghost ‘Pentagon’ but according to him, he needs it within just two days.

In the viral video which has since attracted public criticism on social media, the followers of the city pastor as as usual seen lining up on the pulpit to donate to their pastor who said he wants only those serious not jokers to take the money.

Also in the video (which you can watch below), Bugingo is seen ordering his bodyguard to write down their names, amounts and contacts while those without the capacity to raise a minimum of 500k are told to go back to their seats.

According to one of the churchgoers at Bugingo’s church, the Shs100m money is meant to facilitate a big crusade ahead of Easter that will take place at Canaan land in Makerere Kavule.

It should be remembered early this year when Bugingo survived an assassination and nursed bullet injuries, he came out to announce that he had suspended collections for his church construction dubbed ‘Pentagon’.

He also announced that some church arrangements remain suspended until further notice as he and the Christians at Canaan are ‘heartbroken’.

The pastor has been collecting billions for PENTAGON construction since 2017 and the foundation or a brick is yet to be laid at Canaan land.

Bugingo also suspended the celebrations of his ministry celebrating 13 years in existence having started from Bat Valley. These were set to take place on the 28th of this month and according to the arrangements, a mega fundraising for the Pentagon House had been organized but all this remains suspended until everyone settles emotionally.

The development in the new video has now triggered a backlash with netizens criticising him for continuously draining his congregants without showing where the money goes and what the previously collected amount has so far done.
