Inside Omusinga Mumbere’s reshuffled cabinet, see who has been replaced

Kasese, (UG):- The Omusinga Rwenzururu Cultural Institution, Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has reshuffled his cabinet dropping nine cabinet ministers and replacing them accordingly.

The reshuffle comes barely six months after Mumbere was freed to return to his Kingdom, after the 2016 military raid on his royal palace.

In the new changes, Mr Benson Kule Baritazale is now Deputy Prime Minister, as he comes in to replace Mr Edwin Bayiringa Kugonza who has held the position for six months.

The Institution’s Deputy Attorney General, Mr David Bwamable has also been retired and replaced by Herbert Bagheni.

The Omusinga also dropped John Thawite and Joel Kaguta and replaced them with Geoffrey Kanyonyi and Babra Ndahura as the Kingdom information and public relations officers respectively.

In his address, the Omusinga hailed President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for restoring peace and stability in the Rwenzori sub-region.

He tasked the new cabinet to cooperate with the Central Government in an attempt to maintain the already established peace for socio-economic transformation.

The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Joseph Kule Muranga pledged allegiance to the King, the Royal family, and the institution Constitution to promote the culture of Bakhonzo.
