Meri Jino, the LC5 chairperson of the Kaabong district told our reporter that the unfortunate incident took them by surprise. He added that the security forces were notified and a team of Police detectives visited the scene for further management.

Jino said that the bodies of the deceased were taken to Kaabong Hospital for postmortem, while the two injured were put on treatment.

He noted that the cases of explosive devices are most likely to increase due to the numerous security operations against cattle rustlers in the region.
