Kampala, (UG):- Joel Ssenyonyi, a prominent political and Leader of Opposition in Parliament on Friday achieved another milestone in his academic journey. Despite already holding two Bachelor’s degrees with distinction in Law and Business Statistics, Ssenyonyi’s thirst for knowledge and dedication to his craft led him back to the academic realm.
Many may recognize Joel from his appearances on NTV, where his articulate analysis and legal insights have made him a familiar face. However, what may not be widely known is his relentless pursuit of academic excellence, which was recently showcased as he graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the prestigious Law Development Centre (LDC).
The journey to this achievement was not without its challenges. Joel reflected on the rigorous nature of the Bar Course and the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, describing it as even more intense than his previous academic endeavours.
Despite the demanding nine-month duration of the program, Joel’s perseverance and dedication culminated in a successful completion, earning him recognition as one of the top performers among his peers.
Mathias Semanda, echoing the sentiments of many, took to Twitter to express admiration and congratulations for Ssenyonyi ’s achievements. “I only knew Joel from NTV, but I was amazed when so many years after leaving university with his first degree, he returned to Makerere, sat law admission pre-entries where his name appeared among the top 5 performers. You must admit he is intelligent and hardworking. An inspiration to Uganda’s young and hopeless elites. Congratulations!”
