Entebbe, (UG):- President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Mama Janet Museveni on Sunday hosted a private dinner celebrating their First Son, and CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s 50th birthday.
The family event was held at State House Entebbe.
“Maama Janet and I hosted a private dinner celebrating General Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s 50th birthday at Entebbe. I am grateful to God for reuniting me with Maama Janet, whom I accidentally met at the Intercontinental Hotel and married in August 1973,” President Museveni said in a post via X, accompanying the dinner pictures.
“Our life together has been fulfilling, based on a foundation of wealth creation, family, education, and the fear of God,” he added.
“I also want to thank General Muhoozi for his passion and patriotism in the army. Lastly, I am grateful to God and Maama for raising our children, who have given us grandchildren and brought joy into our lives.”
Muhoozi Kainerugaba was born on 24 April 1974 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where Museveni and Janet were living in exile.
Gen Muhoozi, who was recently appointed Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) last week donated to charity and planted trees to celebrate his 50th birthday celebration.
