Fresh Dairy Secondary Games 2024: Athletes challenged to nurture God-given talents

The Commissioner of Secondary Education at the Ministry of Education and Sports, Mrs Muzoora Juliet Atuheire Friday paid a visit to Ndejje Senior Secondary School to witness the ongoing Fresh Dairy Secondary Games 2024.

Mrs Atuheire’s presence brought a wave of encouragement as she shared valuable insights and advice with the participants.

Adorned with a warm smile and an aura of enthusiasm, the commissioner arrived at Ndejje Senior Secondary School to witness firsthand the talent and dedication displayed by the young athletes at the Fresh Dairy Secondary Games 2024.

As she watched the competitions unfold, she took the opportunity to interact with the participants, offering words of encouragement and wisdom.

Addressing the athletes, Mrs Atuheire emphasized the importance of hard work and perseverance in achieving one’s goals. “Keep working hard and never underestimate your potential,” she urged the participants, reminding them to explore and nurture their God-given talents.

One aspect of the games that Mrs. Atuheire particularly commended was the rotational nature of the events. By travelling to different parts of the country, the athletes not only compete but also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich cultural diversity of Uganda.

“This rotational system not only fosters healthy competition but also promotes cultural exchange and understanding among the youth,” she remarked.

During her visit, Mrs. Atuheire also took a moment to reconnect with her past as the former Headmistress of Bweranyangi Girls Senior Secondary School. Visiting the school’s hockey team, she was greeted with cheers and excitement from the girls, who were elated to see their former mentor.

Mrs. Atuheire shared fond memories with the team, reminiscing about their shared experiences and victories.

Through her words and actions, she reinforced the importance of sports in education and the invaluable lessons it teaches beyond the playing field.
