FUFA mourns former Uganda Cranes goalkeeper, coach Fred Kajoba

Kampala, (UG):- The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) Monday expressed profound sorrow following the sudden demise of Fred Kajoba Kisitu, an esteemed former Uganda Cranes goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach.

“FUFA is saddened to learn about the untimely demise of former Uganda Cranes goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba Kisitu that occurred today in Tanzania,” a statement from the country’s football governing body read yesterday.

“FUFA extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family, his club Ihefu FC and the entire football fraternity,” it added.

The tragic news, confirmed on Monday, sent shockwaves through the football fraternity, leaving colleagues, players, and fans mourning the loss of a revered figure.

Kajoba’s invaluable contributions to Ugandan football, notably his pivotal role in guiding the national team to the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournaments in 2017 and 2019, underscored his passion and dedication to the sport.
