Kibuku MP Kinobere celebrates victory, thanks voters for electing him for 2nd term

Kibuku, (UG):- Kibuku County Incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon Herbert Kinobere Toba has expressed his gratitude to the voters for re-electing him for a second term in Parliament.

The joyous celebration for MP Kinobere was held at Lwatama Primary School in Lwatama Sub-county, attended by various dignitaries, including Brigadier General Felix Kulaigye, the UPDF spokesperson, who was the chief guest.

In his remarks, Gen Felix Kulaigye urged the people of Kibuku District to continue supporting their current leaders for the effective delivery of social services.

He called upon the residents to embrace the Parish Development Model (PDM) to combat poverty and emphasized the importance of using the funds wisely and not engaging in practices such as polygamy. General Kulaigye highlighted that Uganda is unique in providing financial aid to its citizens to fight poverty.

Speaking further, Gen Kulaigye emphasized the need to protect the wetlands for those engaged in rice farming and urged the community to dispose of plastic bottles and other waste to preserve the environment. He also appealed to the people of Kibuku District and Bugwere at large to maintain peace and unity for the sake of development.

RDC Kibuku, Samuel Musiho, echoed General Kulaigye’s sentiments and called upon the people of Kibuku District to support government programs such as the Parish Development Model (PDM) to reduce poverty.

He revealed that substantial funds, amounting to 100 million Ugandan shillings, had already been disbursed to every SACCO in the 92 parishes of Kibuku District.

The RDC also emphasized the importance of utilizing the funds for the establishment of viable enterprises that would contribute to poverty eradication.

Hon Kinobere Herbert Toba expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the voters of Kibuku County for their unwavering support during his two terms in Parliament. He acknowledged that without their trust and confidence, his success would not have been possible.

Hon. Toba specifically extended his gratitude to the exceptional women who actively participated in radio developmental programs, recognizing their integral role in the community.

“I would like to express my deep appreciation to the remarkable women in our community who have actively engaged in radio developmental programs,” Hon. Toba declared.

“Your dedication and contribution to raising awareness and fostering community development are truly commendable. I am grateful for your unwavering support and commitment to our shared vision,” he added.

During the ceremony, Hon. Toba ensured that the exceptional women were recognized and thanked for their invaluable contributions. He acknowledged their efforts in staying informed and actively engaging through phone calls, which have made a significant impact on the radio programs and the overall development of Kibuku District.

The celebration was not without the presence of enthusiastic students from Kawempe Community Health Sciences in Kampala. They expressed their gratitude to Hon. Toba for providing them with free bursaries and pledged their support for him in the upcoming elections.

Honourable Katoko Slyvia Damba aka Ssubi, the District Coordinator of the Office of the National Chairperson of the NRM (National Resistance Movement) in Kibuku District, welcomed General Felix Kulaigye during the Thanksgiving ceremony.

Hon. Damba, who is also an aspiring candidate for the District Woman MP position in Kibuku in 2026, expressed her delight at the event.

The festive atmosphere at the ceremony highlighted the unity and support for Honorable Kinobere Herbert Toba as he embarks on his second term in Parliament. The community’s commitment to development, as demonstrated by their participation in government programs, is expected to bring about positive change in Kibuku District.
