PLU fanatic Kabanda in trouble for defiling stepdaughter

Kamuli, (UG):- The Territorial police in Kamuli have arrested Kabanda Abudallah, a 28-year-old native doctor of Kamuli Municipality for allegedly defiling his 15-year-old stepdaughter.

Kabanda, a resident of Butangala, Northern division in Kamuli Municipality is alleged to have subjected the victim, a P.5 pupil at Buzibirira Primary School in Kamuli Municipality to multiple sexual abuses until his eventual apprehension.

Preliminary investigations by police indicate that in 2019 Kabanda’s wife, Nakaga Fatuma, 32 came to his home with her daughter from another man. However, it is alleged that in 2020, Kabanda seduced his stepdaughter into a sexual relationship and he has since taken advantage of the mother’s busy schedule to sexually abuse the juvenile. 

Early this year, the victim conceived and upon notice by the school administration, the victim disclosed the father being responsible for the pregnancy before aborting the fetus with the help of the mother.

The state of affairs prompted the school administration to report the matter to Kamuli Central Police Station for investigations.

A case of Aggravated defilement was registered vide Kamuli SD reference 52/26/06/2024 which matured into Kamuli CRB 660/2024

The scene of crime was visited and documented. The victim was examined and taken over by Uganda Women Network, Kamuli Field Office for psychosocial support and medical treatment.

Reports this publication could not ascertain indicated that Kabanda is a staunch fan of Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and the Patriotic League Group, a civic organization led by the first son.

Police said further investigations are ongoing to establish more relevant facts about the case as the suspect continues to stay under their custody.
