Mr. Kibaada revealed this while hosting the presiding governor of their 9213 district Ms. Ann Nkuutu who discussed with the club among others to improve the membership base and engage in activities that can push the club further.

While addressing the governor and some club members on Tuesday at Ntinda Valley Resort hotel in Iganga town, the magical president Kibaada said they will implement a programme to keep Iganga shining and it will be aimed at improving sanitation and hygiene in the highway town.

“We shall aim at service projects like the programme of Keep Iganga Shine which will emphasize hygiene and we shall have proper disposal bins and avoid littering in the town. We also expect to work with surrounding schools to plant trees in a bid to preserve the environment and fight global warming,” Mr. Kibaada said.

Rotary Iganga, according to their president, will ensure that recyclable materials are used to make items that will benefit people other than littering them along the roads in the town. They will also complement the seven focus areas of Rotary like maternal and child health and they will set up a mobile clinic to realize this.

“We shall also tackle the seven focus areas of Rotary that encompass maternal and child health and in this case, we shall support our mothers with a project of a mobile clinic to reach them wherever they are even before seeking services from the health facilities,” Mr Kibaada said.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nkuutu tasked the club leadership to ensure activeness in activities of Rotary and also draw a huge membership base which she said will improve the performance of the Rotarians in the community. She also congratulated Mr. Kibaada upon taking over as the next president to steer from July 1, 2024, to June 30, next year.

Mr. Kibaada took over the leadership on June 28, 2024, from Rotarian Bamutire David Nabogho who steered the club for a full year. While getting power, Mr. Kibaada pledged to stand on the seven focus areas while prioritizing water, sanitation and hygiene which will improve the health of the people.
