FULL LIST: 69 police recruits arrested with forged documents at Kabalye School

Masindi, (UG):- At least 69 suspects at Kabalye Police Training School in Masindi are in trouble after they were arrested over the weekend for forging and uttering false documents.

Preliminary police investigations reveal that between the 13th and 20th of July 2024, the suspects were part of the 3,129 recruits who reported to Kabalye police training school for training as Probation Police Constable.

As part of their admission, the trainees handed over their academic documents to the police verification team from police headquarters where they were found to be forged which prompted the commandant at Kabalye to report the case at CPS Masindi vide GEF 051/2024.

During interrogation, it was observed that the majority of the suspects confessed to having forged their documents from their Districts with the intention of joining the police.
