The victim, Ogar Emmanuel, 34, a Jaluo from Kenya and a resident of Tangipai village, Sebei parish, Buda Sub-County was robbed by unknown thugs at around 12:40 am in the wee hours of Saturday, 20th July 2024 along Amolatar- Acengryeng road in Amolatar District.

According to preliminary police investigations, it is alleged that Ogar was picked from his place by a friend identified as Okello David who has lived with him in Kenya for the last eight years to come and pay a visit to his home village within Amolatar District.

When the trio reached Amolatar Town, Okello picked a boda boda rider of Motorcycle Reg No UFF 166B Bajaj who was to take them home but when they reached Acengryeng, they were attacked by three men armed with knives and Ogar was robbed of his personal properties including money worth 3.5 million cash, while Okello and unidentified Boda boda rider allegedly joined the attackers to rob him.

SP Okema added that the victim reported the matter to Amolatar CPS after he gained consciousness at around 2000 hours and was immediately referred to Amolatar HCIV for medical attention where he is currently admitted.

“A case of aggravated robbery has been registered under CRB: 279/2024 at Amolatar CPS, Victim was interviewed, statement recorded and later referred to Amolatar HCIV for medical attention,” Okema said.
