Namisindwa, (UG):- In a bid to improve health services in Namisindwa District, Keddi Foundation under the stewardship of Dr Eric Steven Zuluba has embarked on a mission to construct a modern health facility at Magale Town Council where locals will get free medication and all health services at their exposure.

This comes after hundreds of thousands gathered at Magale primary school for a two-week medical camp courtesy of Dr Khanakwa Sarah – the District’s hopeful woman member of parliament 2026, where they were tested and treated for illnesses like eyes defaults, tooth decay, malaria, ulcers, antennal service, family planning and many others.

Officiating the closure of the medical camp, Dr Keddi Steven also warned of a curse that would befall the residents of Namisindwa should they miss voting a brave determined woman Dr Khanakwa to the 12th August house.

“My people of Namisindwa, if you fail to vote for Sarah, God will ‘curse’ you because, this humble woman can’t come here to treat you freely for two weeks, where you would spend a lot of money,” said Dr Keddi.

“This is a leader that you need to represent Namisindwa and that’s what we want at Keddi Foundation, a leader who is determined to serve humanity,” he added.

Dr Acheng Lucy, the public relations officer at St Benedictine Hospital Tororo says they were able to work on 250 residents suffering from eye defaults alone, where 96 adults showed bilateral satraps and were referred to the main hospital for better management.

At the same function, Dr Khanakwa emphasized the importance of early check-ups and preventative measures in addressing NCDs and other diseases. She noted that regular check-ups at health facilities can help identify and address health issues early on, improving health outcomes.

The hopeful woman member of parliament pledged total support towards health services in the district being her area of specialization urging locals to vote for her in the forthcoming polls for better service delivery and development of the area.

Mr. Masafu David, a resident of Bumityero sub-county praised Dr. Khanakwa’s efforts and emphasized the importance of prioritizing health. He called on leaders to consider the health impact of their decisions and policies, noting that “we cannot solve our problems like poverty if we aren’t healthy.”
