Soroti, (UG):- The Anglican Bishop Emeritus of Soroti Diocese, Rt. Rev. George William Erwau has warned the youth to desist from using their energy to cause chaos.

Speaking during a church service at St. Peters Cathedral on Sunday, August 11, 2024, Erwau stressed that many youths have been imprisoned after engaging themselves in chaotic situations.

His comments came ahead of today’s International Youth Day Celebration in Asuret Primary Teachers College in Asuret Sub County, Soroti District under the theme; “Skills Development for Enhancement of Youth Opportunities.”

“Some leaders use the youth to cause chaos, for their selfish gains. Many of these youths are languishing and suffering behind bars yet their mischiefs are at large. I encourage the youth to use their energetic age productively and wisely,” Erwau said.

According to him, the youthful age is important in shaping the future of the world.

The cleric challenged Christian youth to be lead transformation ambassadors of the country.
