FULL LIST: Museveni reshuffles RDCs, RCCs, appoints Regional Commissioners

Mr. Museveni in the new changes announced on Wednesday, transferred Hudu Hussein to become the new Yumbe RDC replacing him with Mrs. Amina Lukanga.

KAMPALA, UGANDA: President Museveni has appointed new Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), Resident City Commissioners (RCCs), and their deputies plus regional commissioners in the latest development.

“In Exercise of the Powers conferred upon the President of the Republic of Uganda by Articles 99 and 203 of the 1995 Constitution (as amended); I hereby, appoint the following persons as Resident District /City Commissioners, Deputies and Commissioners at the RDC Secretariat,” H.E Museveni stated while announcing the new RDCs and RCCs on Monday afternoon.

Among the notable reshuffles is former Rubaga Deputy Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Herbert Anderson Burora who has been dropped and replaced by Jinja South Division Deputy RCC Henry Kitambula.

The President also appointed Regional Commissioners attached to the Secretariat whose role will largely be to supervise the RDCs and RCCs in the respective regions across the country.

The Secretariat will be headed by Maj Martha Asimwe and Sr Grace Akiror as her deputy. Additionally, Hon Kyabangi Nakato has been appointed Regional Commissioner for Central, Hon Fred Mbagadi Nkayi (Kampala Metropolitan), Fred Bamwine (Karamoja), Collins Gertrude Obdei (West Nile) and Col Oguli Damuzungu Aggrey for the Eastern Region.

Lt Col James Mwesigye takes over Western Region, while Dr James Tweheyo is in charge of Rwenzori and Akello Alice Opio for the Northern Region.
