HIJAB Nation: Hajjat Namyalo challenges Muslim women to embrace distinct lives

Kampala, (UG):- The Senior Presidential Advisor and Political Assistant at Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye has urged women in the Muslim faith to embrace distinct lives and keep pure as they go about their lives.

Hajjat Namyalo said this on Saturday, August 31, at Hijab Nation, an annual event that promotes the significance of the hijab and modesty as a way of living.

In her address at the Millennium Grounds Lugogo, the ONC boss encouraged women to lead lives of distinction by embracing their values and striving for higher aims.

“Your value as a woman comes when you learn to aim higher, respect yourself, and not give in to those seeking to bring you down,” she emphasized, urging the attendees to hold on to their self-respect and dignity in the face of societal pressures.

Hijab Nation, an event dedicated to celebrating the hijab and modesty, serves as a platform to motivate the Muslim community by promoting the prestige and honour of living a modest lifestyle, appreciated by both believers and non-believers alike.

The event featured a series of open discussions led by key speakers, offering the attendees an opportunity to learn and unlearn various aspects of Islam, including its teachings on fashion, spiritual guidance, and the importance of modesty.

Additionally, mentorship programs were organized to provide ongoing support and guidance, reinforcing the significance of leading a lifestyle that aligns with Islamic principles.

Hijab Nation remains to be an important event in the Muslim calendar, promoting a sense of community and empowering Muslim women to live with honour and distinction.

The event not only celebrates the hijab but also strengthens the resolve of Muslim women to lead lives marked by self-respect, ambition, and unwavering faith.
