BKK-MTN Football and Amasaza bicycle competitions set for September

Hoima, (UG):- Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom will this month commence the BKK-MTN Enganda football and Amasaza bicycle race competitions.

While briefing the media about the preparations, the Chief Administrative Secretary Mr Alex Katusabe revealed that the kingdom is set to hold its third (3rd) edition of Enganda (clans) football and Amasaza bicycle race.

The competitions will be held across all the fifteen counties of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom. 

The major aim of the tournament/bicycle race is to mobilize clans, promote talent development and promote unity among clans through sports in Bunyoro.

Mr. Katusabe clarified that only Clans that have been registered with BKK will participate in the tournament. 

Clan registration is still ongoing in the office of culture and social services at BKK head office, he added. 

The football competition is between clans while the bicycle race competition is between counties. The participants are drawn from all fifteen BKK counties. 

The official launch of the competitions will be held on the 17th of September 2024 at the BKK head office in Hoima City.

Every clan team member and cyclist will be offered a football jersey for clans and a reflector for bicycle racers.

Winners will get prizes ranging from cash to physical items like trophies and medals. 

The Kingdom has called on all clans which haven’t been registered yet to do so and the already registered clans to prepare their teams.
