Bushenyi, (UG): Today, Saturday, September 07, Valley University of Science and Technology will witness an exciting showdown as students cast their votes in the highly anticipated Guild Presidential elections.
The race for the top student leadership position is heating, with three strong contenders vying for the Guild President seat namely; Tumukunde Wilbforce from the Faculty of Education, Matsiko Posiano from the Faculty of Business, and Muhwezi Naboth from Science, Technology and Innovations.
Each candidate has built a formidable campaign over the past few weeks, energizing their supporters with promises of change and progress.
Tumukunde Wilbforce, a charismatic leader from Education, has captured the attention of many, especially his peers in Education, for his active involvement in student affairs.
Matsiko Posiano, from Business, is known for his organizational skills and his ability to rally students around practical solutions, making him a strong contender in tomorrow’s vote.
Meanwhile, Muhwezi Naboth, representing Science, has focused on improving student welfare and is very popular among those who want to see more hands-on initiatives and opportunities within the University.
The Dean of Students, Mr. Boaz Tumusiime has called for a peaceful and fair election process, urging students to vote wisely and select a leader who will truly represent their interests.
With the student body buzzing and the campus atmosphere electric, all eyes are on tomorrow’s vote, which promises to be one of the most competitive in recent years.
