Uganda wins FEASSA Games 2024 as Minister Ogwang concludes championship in Bukedea

Bukedea, (UG):- Uganda was Thursday crowned overall winners of the Federation of East African Secondary School Association (FEASSA) Games after collecting the most overall medals in the championship.

The Minister of State for Sports, Peter Ogwang who represented the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports had the hour of officiating at the official closing ceremony of the games in Bukedea.

“Congratulations to team Uganda for winning the overall championship of the FEASSA games with 38 medals,” Ogwang said in his closing remarks, as he extended special thanks to the Directors of BCS and Amus College for successfully hosting the games.

Ogwang also thanked the President of ISF, Mr. Laurent Pentrynka, for his great contributions towards sports development. “As the Government of Uganda, we shall continue investing in sports infrastructure to enhance talent identification and development,” Ogwang said.

International Schools Federation (ISF) President, Laurent, expressed happiness to H.E YKM, the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, and the Sports Minister Peter Ogwang for prioritizing matters of sports in Uganda.

“Uganda is a very unique country, as all their leaders, right from the President, prioritize sports development. This is not the case in other countries,” Laurent said.
