Mitooma ONC Coordinator consents with Hajjat Namyalo: A Bold Voice Against Transition

In a show of unwavering resolve, Elite Abemigisha Bob Mitooma, the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Coordinator, has boldly aligned with the sentiments of Senior Presidential Advisor (SPA) Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, declaring that those calling for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s retirement are a danger to the stability of Uganda.

This, according to Abemigisha is not just an ordinary proclamation, but a stance rooted in the deep understanding of Uganda’s unique political landscape and the unmatched leadership that Museveni continues to provide.

Transition, in this context, cannot and should not be entertained. Hajjat Hadija Namyalo Uzeiye has proven herself as a strategic thinker and a visionary leader, recognizing that Uganda’s future under the leadership of President Museveni remains the safest and most prosperous path forward.

Her foresight has brought to the surface a critical reality that many have failed to grasp—the idea that transitioning leadership now would be a destabilizing force in a nation where Museveni’s leadership has ensured peace, security, and development. She rightfully describes those pushing for a leadership transition as short-sighted and, quite frankly, a threat to national progress.

The youths, or the *bazzukulu*, have voiced their discontent with any mention of transition, standing firmly behind Museveni. It is inspiring to see young people, such as the student leaders from Kyambogo University, rallying behind a leadership that has delivered results. They understand that President Museveni has more to offer, and their pushback against the so-called “looming transition” is not only justified but necessary.

This shows a generation that is not only informed but also deeply committed to the continuity of the nation’s progress. We must applaud Namyalo for being such a bold advocate in this fight. Her strategic thinking, coupled with her ability to galvanize and inspire the youth, has created a formidable front against the misguided calls for transition.

Her leadership and determination have cemented her role as a true think tank in Uganda’s political arena, ensuring that the voice of reason continues to prevail. Her efforts to unite the *bazzukulu* and ensure they are politically engaged are vital to the ongoing stability and growth of Uganda.

The notion that Uganda, a republic, should follow the whims of those calling for retirement as if we were a kingdom with royal successions, is misguided. Uganda is not a kingdom where leadership is passed down by birthright but a democracy, where leadership is earned through the will of the people. And the people have spoken clearly; they want Museveni. His decades of leadership have laid a strong foundation, and no one can argue that the country has thrived under his careful stewardship.

As we look forward to the 2026 elections and beyond, it is critical to support those youth who have the foresight to stand up against the call for transition. They see, as Namyalo does, that Museveni’s work is not done. His leadership is essential to completing the many promises he has made, particularly those surrounding economic programs like *Emyooga* and the Parish Development Model (PDM).

These initiatives hold the key to the future prosperity of the nation, and only Museveni, with his unmatched experience and wisdom, can see them through. In conclusion, transition is not an option for Uganda. We are a nation that thrives on the continuity of strong, visionary leadership, and there is no leader more equipped to guide us than President Museveni.

The youth have spoken, and it is time for the rest of the nation to rally behind Namyalo and the *bazzukulu* in this movement. Let us stand firm, say no to transition, and continue the journey with Museveni at the helm.

The hashtag *NyokoTransition* is not just a slogan; it is a call to action.
