Museveni Appoints Mishac Kawamara as Senior Presidential Advisor for Mobilisation

Kampala, (UG):- President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Mr Mishac Ruhuga Kawamara as Senior Presidential Advisor-Mobilization, State House has confirmed. He becomes the 140th presidential advisor.

Kawamara’s appointment was confirmed in a brief statement released Saturday evening through the Official State House account on X formerly Twitter.

Earlier, the Senior Press Secretary to His Excellency the President, Mr Sandor Walusimbi said Museveni appointed Kawamara to enhance community engagement and support for national development.

“His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed Mr Mishac Kawamara as a Senior Presidential Advisor-Mobilization to enhance community engagement and support for national development initiatives,” Walusimbi tweeted on Saturday.

Previously a Resident District Commissioner for Kyegegwa and Ntoroko Districts, Kawamara’s timely appointment comes at a time when President Museveni is preparing to start mobilisation for his 7th term in office in the 2026 general elections.

Kawamara joins musician Eddy Kenzo who was recently appointed as a presidential advisor. Other presidential advisors in the art & creatives industry include Musician Catherine Kusasira and Full Figure.
