“Other pastors should not disregard Shincheonji because of difference in denomination” – says 20-year veteran pastor

“A thought occurred to me that we should not disregard Shincheonji just because they belong to different denomination, but rather listen to their words directly and then make our own judgments.”

This statement was made by a pastor who has been serving the church for 20 years during the ‘2024 Shincheonji Bible Seminar, Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation” held on the 25th at the Shincheonji Masan Church. He expressed his admiration for the Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ focus on the words of prophecy recorded in the Bible.

The Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, previously held its Word Seminar in Ulsan and Busan in January. Due to ongoing requests from pastors and believers in the Yeongnam region for additional events, this seminar has been organized.

As a result, over 16,000 attendees, including more than 100 pastors, participated offline. For those unable to attend due to physical limitations, the event was streamed live on YouTube. The two-hour conference gathered 375,155 views, demonstrating significant interest.

During the session, Chairman Lee Man-hee delivered a lecture that encompassed the entire Bible based on Revelation Chapter 10, clearly outlining the relationship between prophecy and fulfillment. The atmosphere was lively, with many attendees, including pastors, taking notes and responding enthusiastically with applause.

In his lecture, Chairman Lee emphasized, “I am sharing the content of Revelation as I have seen and heard it. The word of the Bible should be conveyed as if it is stamped, without distortion or alteration.” He urged attendees not to criticize or condemn hastily, but rather to adopt a humble attitude, like that of a child just as what Jesus said, and verify the truth of these teachings for themselves.

He continued, “The Bible records that the way to heaven is small and narrow. Simply saying you believe in Jesus does not guarantee entry to heaven. We must carefully listen to and reflect on each of Jesus’ words, understand clearly who we are according to the Bible, and walk our faith accordingly.”

Chairman Lee Man-hee said, “We must humble ourselves like children and base our faith on the standards of the Bible.”Over 100 pastors and a total of 16,000 participants attended in person, while approximately 380,000 viewers watched the online live stream.

The additional Open Bible Seminar is scheduled to be held in Busan on the 29th.

Chairman Lee has consistently emphasized the importance of the revelation to pastors, urging them to verify these teachings. For instance, during the ‘Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation Seminar’ held on June 8 at the Cheongpyeong Shincheonji Peace Education Center, he stated, “The words of life that Jesus sacrificed His life for should be treasured, and we must check whether they are being fulfilled accordingly.”

Among pastors in the Gyeongnam region, who have listened to the teachings of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, a fundamental change is gradually taking place. One pastor who signed an MOU with the church said, “Hearing the words directly and making my own judgments has changed my thought significantly. I believe that maintaining communication with the Shincheonji Church will be beneficial for my congregation, which is why I decided to create an MOU.”

Another pastor, who has been in ministry for 15 years, expressed his surprise at Chairman Lee’s ability to deliver a fluent lecture for over an hour without even opening the Bible. “I listened carefully and was astonished to find that there was nothing contradicting to scripture in his message,” he said. “After hearing these teachings, I became curious about what the Shincheonji Church is really about and felt a desire to share this with more people.”

Like this pastor the desire to learn more about the Shincheonji Church of Jesus is spreading throughout the Yeongnam region among the pastors. In response, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus will hold an Open Bible Seminar in Busan on the 29th.

A representative from the Shincheonji Church of Jesus stated, “It is very encouraging that many pastors have proactively inquired about holding additional Open Word Seminar. To meet this demand, we will host an event in Busan as well. Since we are all coming together on the foundation of the Bible, regardless of denomination, we believe that our bonds and cooperation through the sharing of teachings will grow stronger and spread further in the future.”

As of the end of last month, 727 churches in Korea had signed MOUs for collaboration with the Shincheonji Church regarding the exchange of teachings. Internationally, as of the 5th, a total of 10,053 churches across 84 countries had created an MOU with Shincheonji. Notably, 1,671 churches in 43 countries have joined the Shincheonji Church of Jesus and changed their signage accordingly.
